Dr. Anne Galletta recognized for outstanding work by American Educational Research Association

Cleveland State University Professor Dr. Anne Galletta was recognized for outstanding work by the American Educational Research Association (AERA) as part of its Education Research to Performance Youth Apprentice project which aims to feature youth engaged in research with faculty in education research.  Dr. Galletta is leading one of the 10 teams competitively selected for this project from more than 40 proposals.  The 10 teams were selected from Atlanta, Chicago, Cleveland, Los Angeles, New Orleans, New York City and Johannesburg, South Africa.
 
The teams participated in a preparatory workshop last Dec. 5-7 and will reconvene this April in Chicago to present their research during a featured session.  Dr. Galletta along with a trio of students presented material on the empirical impact of school closings on children and educators.  It was so riveting and important as it connected with the projects grounded in New York City, Chicago and New Orleans.
