Maxine Goodman Levin School of Urban Affairs MPA student Nicole Roberts recently wrote an op-ed for The Land entitled “Benefit cliffing – How the system anchors low-wage workers in poverty.”
Reflecting in the article Nicole shared, “Dr. Rubado encouraged me to submit my Columbus Seminar assignment as an op-ed, which opened my eyes to the possibility of applying my studies in the community. This is an opportunity I never would have had without the Maxine Goodman Levin School of Urban Affairs and is a direct result of the education that I’m receiving— both in learning how to write as a scholar and in the curriculum and resources I’m exposed to. I am grateful for my professors who have provided me with the pathways to help me achieve my goals!”
