Dr. Regina Giraldo-Garcia and doctoral candidates Mamta Roy and Hatem Alotebi presented papers at the E-Learn 2014 -- World Conference on E-Learning  in New Orleans, Oct. 27-30.  Giraldo-Garcia and Roy presented a paper titled  Empowering minority students through mentorship and technology  The two of them joined Alotebi to present yet another paper – Examining the use of blended learning to enhance students' critical thinking skills.

Giraldo-Garcia teaches Educational Research in the Dept. of Curriculum and Foundations.  In addition, Roy presented a paper she co-wrote titled Online Learning and the Gifted Student.  It was written with Dr. Daniel L. Winkler, coordinator for the Gifted and Talented Program in Curriculum and Foundations.
