Thank you to the nearly 60 education students who came out to join the International Reading Association CSU Student Group at our signing event on Wednesday, November 16th!
For those who wished to attend but were unable to join us, it's not too late to join IRA@CSU for FREE this semester!
Through January 31, 2012, CSU education students and professional members of CSU's College of Education and Human Services community may join the International Reading Association for FREE, normally a $24 cost to students and a $36 cost to professionals. The IRA is a professional organization devoted to promoting literacy worldwide through education, research, advocacy, and service. Affiliation with a professional organization is a great way to boost your resume, and participation in CSU's IRA student chapter will be a great way to meet and collaborate with other CSU studentsn and community members. By joining the IRA at CSU you not only get the opportunity to join IRA for free, but you will become a part of CSU's IRA charter member group. And if all of that doesn't make joining IRA at CSU a sweet enough deal, the more members we recruit together the better our chances of winning some glamorous prizes from the IRA, including iPads, a SMART Board, and a grand prize trip to IRA's 57th Annual Convention, to be held spring of 2012 in Chicago!
We hope you'll join us in building a new professional organization in CSU's College of Education and Human Services!
