About

Announcing the Maxine Goodman Levin School of Urban Affairs Day of Service, Spring Edition! Student, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends are invited to join Drink Local/Drink Tap for a beach clean-up project on Saturday, April 22 (Earth day!), 10am - noon, in Edgewater Park, Lakefront Reservation.

We will meet up in the first parking lot to your left as you enter Edgewater Park from the West Blvd entrance (upper Edgewater). Gloves and bags will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own. We recommend wearing closed toe shoes and bringing a bottle of water (local tap is the best!). Please email Joe Mead if you're interested in attending or have any questions.

Drink Local / Drink Tap is a nonprofit organization that inspires individuals to recognize and solve our water issues through creative education, events and providing safe water access to people in need. It was founded and is run by water warrior (and Levin alum!) Erin Huber.

Afterwards, feel free to stop by Cleveland State EarthFest to find out other ways to help.

Why join us?  One of the great things about the Urban College is our commitment to service. It is not just what we do, it is who we are and why our College exists. Service to our community is part of the courses we offer, the research we conduct, and the jobs our alums take. We honor that tradition with periodic Service Days, which provide a chance for students, faculty, and alums to get to know each other better in an informal environment.
