Levin College Ranked Among Leaders in Public Affairs and Education

The Levin College of Public Affairs and Education remains highly ranked by U.S. News & World Report in the 2024 Best Graduate Schools rankings. 

Cleveland State University's Levin College of Public Affairs and Education is again recognized as one of the nation's top graduate schools by U.S. News & World Report. Our impressive rankings include specialization rankings of 4th in urban policy (#1 in Ohio and the Midwest) and 12th in local government management (#1 in Ohio); plus, overall rankings of 57th in Public Affairs and 148th in Education (up from 163rd in 2024)! 

Jill Gordon, Ph.D., Dean and Professor at Levin, expressed her gratitude for the recognition. She said, "We are thrilled to receive this information as it demonstrates Levin College’s commitment to meet the changing needs of both our community and students. We leverage our interdisciplinary strengths so that our faculty and students are equipped to tackle complex issues facing the constantly evolving landscape of public, educational, civic, and societal composition."

Since 1998, the Levin College has received recognition for its expertise in management and urban policy from U.S. News & World Report. Dean Gordon notes that the research pursued by academic faculty and center personnel is a testament to the College's unfailing dedication to its mission. She states, "Our commitment to and impact on the field is significant, and we are not slowing down as we develop a pipeline of public impact professionals - reflective leaders who are committed to building urban communities through innovative approaches, educational focus, and civic minded engagement."
