Alexia Miracle

Alexia Miracle is an undergraduate student in Cleveland State University's Maxine Goodman Levin School of Urban Affairs. Motivated by a high school volunteer experience where she operated the school's nonprofit clothing and hygiene pantry, Alexia chose to major in Nonprofit Administration and minor in both Urban and Regional Studies and Spanish. Her passion to serve and build genuine connections has also led her to a position with Lift Up Vikes!, Cleveland State's resource center and food pantry that serves students with supplemental food items and other basic needs. As the Student Manager, Alexia performs administrative and operational duties aimed at providing students with nutritional food, while also getting to know both the students and staff who stop by. This experience has afforded Alexia even greater clarity for a life and career of service in the nonprofit industry.

Cleveland State has provided Alexia with academic and extracurricular experiences through engaged learning, employment, and mentorship. In fact, when asked who her hero is, Alexia proudly mentioned Ali Martin Scoufield, the Assistant Vice President and Dean of Students at Cleveland State. "[S]he has been my rock, my cheerleader, and my support system as I navigate my role as a student manager," Alexia continues, "She is unbelievably compassionate and caring, and she does everything in her power to bring my ideas and dreams into reality. I wouldn't have the confidence or the skills that I have today without her support." When asked about Alexia, Ali Scoufield responded, "Alexia is my hero! She's a phenomenal student leader [and] a truly other-centered professional, dedicating her life to supporting others in need." Ali goes on to say, "I'm sincere when I say the pantry wouldn't have functioned without her this year. She's really done an amazing job in her roleā€¦ and as an ambassador for basic needs access at CSU."
