Nicolette Hoon Selected for Nasa / Ohio Space Grant Consortium Education Scholarship

Nicolette Hoon, a native of Mentor, Ohio, has been selected to receive a NASA / Ohio Space Grant Consortium (OSGC) Education Scholarship. The scholarship is funded by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) through its National Space Grant College and Fellowship Program and the Ohio Department of Education. The scholarship is a one semester academic award of $1,000 for this Spring Semester 2021. Nicolette is scheduled to graduate with her bachelor's degree as an Ohio licensed (K-12) moderate to intensive intervention specialist as well as a graduate certificate in the Foundations of Autism Spectrum Disorder. 

As a NASA / OSGC Education Scholar, Nicolette will plan and conduct an educational project or activity and incorporate it into a K-12 lesson plan that highlights available NASA educational materials. Nicolette was scheduled to present a poster of the educational project or activity during the OSGC Student Symposium in March 2021 at the Ohio Aerospace Institute in Cleveland.
