About the Ohio Certified Public Manager® Program
The Ohio Certified Public Manager® (OCPM) Program is a comprehensive and nationally certified development program for state and local government leaders. Cleveland State University's Center for Public & Nonprofit Management delivers the official CPM certification program for the state of Ohio.

The Curriculum
To receive the OCPM credential, participants must enroll in and successfully complete the Public Management Academy and Leadership Academy:

Public Management Academy
A one-year, comprehensive program allowing managers to sharpen their supervisory and management skills. Participants will engage in 19 customized workshops and a capstone project. View Public Management Academy's 2019-2020 projects.

Leadership Academy
The premier public sector leadership development program in the region including modules on leadership styles, change management, generations in the workplace, power & persuasion, knowledge transfer, strategic planning, crisis communications, and more. 

Leadership Academy Regional Partners
As of 2023, Ohio University now facilitates the Leadership Academy in Central Ohio. The Academy takes place at OU's Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Service in Dublin, Ohio. To learn more about the Academy click here. Questions can be directed to Deanna Clifford at cliffordd@ohio.edu
