Richard Eaton Scholarship Application

Thank you for your interest in the School of Communication at Cleveland State University!

The Richard Eaton Scholarship is awarded by the School of Communication to incoming freshmen who plan on pursuing a career in the field of communication. This is awarded one time during your freshman year. The amount awarded will vary each year but will be a minimum of $1,500.

Incoming freshman students who have declared a major offered by the School of Communication (B.A. Communication Studies or B.A. Journalism and Public Relations) are invited to apply for scholarship consideration. The application asks students to provide their GPA, optional standardized test scores, and an essay of no more than 500 words discussing their interest in the field of communication. Specific instructions for the essay is below.

Before beginning the application, please be prepared to provide your GPA and upload your essay. You may also upload SAT or ACT score documentation, but this is optional.
