Levin 50th Anniversary Awards
As part of the Maxine Goodman Levin School of Urban Affairs’ 50th anniversary celebration, the Levin College of Public Affairs and Education will recognize individuals whose leadership, accomplishments, and service reflect the college’s commitment to student success, thriving communities, and the public good.
Nominations are invited for two honors: the Levin Impact Award and the Levin Catalyst Award.
The nomination period is August 14 through September 18, 2026.
Award recipients will be recognized during the Maxine Goodman Levin School of Urban Affairs’ 50th anniversary celebration. Please review the award descriptions and eligibility criteria below before selecting the appropriate nomination form. All nominations must be submitted online by the deadline. Late or incomplete nominations may not be considered.
Levin Impact Award
The Levin Impact Award recognizes alumni who have demonstrated outstanding professional achievement, leadership, and service while creating meaningful and lasting change in place, policy, or practice within their professions, communities, or society.
Recipients embody the spirit of the Levin College of Public Affairs and Education through their commitment to improving the lives of others. The award recognizes graduates whose accomplishments reflect the college’s aspiration to prepare changemakers who turn ideas into action and contribute to the public good.
Eligibility
Nominees must:
- Have completed a degree from the Levin College of Public Affairs and Education or one of its predecessor units at least 10 years before the nomination deadline.
- Have demonstrated distinguished achievement and leadership in their profession, field, or community.
- Have made a significant impact at the regional, state, national, or international level.
- Be recognized as a person of integrity and be in good standing within their profession and community.
- Demonstrate a sustained commitment to service, innovation, collaboration, or community advancement that reflects the mission and vision of Levin College.
Levin Catalyst Award
The Levin Catalyst Award recognizes an individual whose vision, leadership, partnership, generosity, advocacy, or service has made a significant and lasting contribution to the success of the Levin College of Public Affairs and Education.
The award honors individuals whose actions have strengthened the college’s capacity to advance student success, foster thriving communities, and serve the public good. Recipients reflect Levin’s values by building meaningful collaborations, creating opportunities for learning and engagement, supporting innovation and inclusion, and inspiring others to transform ideas into action.
Eligibility
Nominees must:
- Demonstrate a sustained commitment to educational, civic, community, professional, or public-service goals aligned with the mission, vision, and aspirations of Levin College.
- Have made significant contributions through leadership, partnership, mentorship, advocacy, philanthropy, community engagement, or public service.
- Be recognized as a person of integrity and be in good standing within their profession and community.
- Have positively influenced students, faculty, the college, the community, or society through their efforts and accomplishments.
