Graduation Process
For Undergraduates and Graduate Students
All students are required to complete a graduation application well in advance of their projected graduation date. This lead time is needed to process applications, validate completion of requirements, and advise students of any deficiencies. Additional information about graduation is available at the CSU Graduation Office's website. Post-Baccalaureate students do not receive degrees and do not need to apply for graduation.
Undergraduate students with more than 87 hours and a declared major and graduate students with a 15 hours will have the 'Apply to Graduate' button available to them on the 'Graduation' tab in CampusNet. Once a student applies online, the $40 graduation application fee is charged to the student account and the review process begins.
Follow these steps to submit a graduation application:
1) Review your Grad Express Degree Audit and meet with your academic advisor to ensure that you are on track to graduate within two semesters.
2) Click on the Graduation tab in CampusNet
3) Read through the checklist and check off each box to confirm that you completed the following:
- Consulted with an academic advisor
- Reviewed your Grad Express Degree Audit report
- Checked that your name and address information is correct
- Checked that your major/minor/program information is correct
4) Click the Apply to Graduate button
5) Select the graduation term and click Continue
After submitting a graduation application students will be able to view the status of his/her graduation application through the Graduation tab, under the Application Tracking feature, in CampusNet.
