A graduate of The Ohio State University (BA) and Cleveland State University (MPA) Rob has been affiliated with the Maxine Goodman Levin School of Urban Affairs for the past 12 years in various roles including Graduate Assistant, Center Manager and Director of Student Internships & Mentoring. In his current role, he administrates an extensive portfolio of programming including professional development offerings, mentoring, internships and applied research. Rob collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to identify experiential learning opportunities for the School. In addition to program management, Rob also provides project advising, small group facilitation and strategic planning retreats for many public sector organizations across Northeast Ohio. He is also the lead facilitator for the LeanOhio Boot Camp program sponsored by the State of Ohio. The LeanOhio Boot Camp is an intensive, four day program that focuses on applying lean and six sigma principles to the public sector. Mr. Ziol currently holds a camo belt and a black belt certification.
Prior to joining Leadership, Rob worked for over 10 years in the private sector in customer service and sales. He draws from his experience in the private sector along with his passion for public administration to help fulfill the School’s mission.
