Using ArcGIS at Cleveland State University
Cleveland State University provides access to Esri's ArcGIS software, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online, to support teaching, learning, research, and community engagement. ArcGIS is a geographic information system (GIS) platform used to create maps, analyze spatial data, and solve real-world problems across many disciplines.
Faculty, staff, and students use ArcGIS to explore topics such as urban planning, public administration, environmental analysis, transportation, public health, emergency management, and other fields where location-based data informs decision making.
ArcGIS resources at CSU are supported through the Levin College of Public Affairs and Education.
Available Software
CSU offers access to several Esri products, including:
- ArcGIS Pro for desktop GIS mapping and spatial analysis
- ArcGIS Online for web-based mapping, collaboration, and data sharing
Current students, faculty, and staff can access ArcGIS Online using their CSU Single Sign-On (SSO) credentials. No software installation is required to use ArcGIS Online.
