Join the Levin College of Public Affairs and Education's Center for Educational Leadership on January 25 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. for the Roslyn Z. Wolf Lecture in Urban Education. The featured speaker will be charismatic presenter, Dr. Dennis Shirley, of Boston College (Lynch School of Education and Human Development), a scholar of educational change who has helped primary and secondary schools around the world improve their approach to teaching and learning.

Dr. Shirley's decades of research have focused on the frequency of conflict between the ideals of educators and the realities of power and politics. His third book (co-authored with Andy Hargreaves), The Age of Identity: Who Do Our Kids Think They Are... and How Do We Help Them Belong? is described as "a call to action for educators and families alike."
