January 25, 2024 Roslyn Z. Wolf Lecture in Urban Education is a 'Call to Action'

The Roslyn Z. Wolf Lecture in Urban Education celebrates Mrs. Wolf’s commitment to CSU and her passion for supporting urban education. The annual lecture enhances CSU’s continuing dialogue on ideas and issues surrounding urban education in the 21st century.


CSU Center for Educational Leadership Welcomes Dr. Dennis Shirley on Thursday, January 25 for Roslyn Z. Wolf Lecture in Urban Education

Dennis ShirleyA scholar of educational change and charismatic presenter, Dr. Dennis Shirley of Boston College (Lynch School of Education and Human Development) has helped primary and secondary schools around the world to improve teaching and learning. 

Dr. Shirley's decades of research have focused on the frequency of conflict between the ideals of educators and the realities of power and politics. His third book (co-authored with Andy Hargreaves), The Age of Identity: Who Do Our Kids Think They Are... and How Do We Help Them Belong?, is described as "a call to action for educators and families alike."

Join us at the Union Club of Cleveland on Thursday, January 25, 2024 when Dr. Shirley will speak as part of the Roslyn Z. Wolf Lecture in Urban Education. This breakfast event and lecture is 8:30-11 a.m. and costs just $40 (this includes lecture, breakfast and parking).
