About the Event
Cleveland State University's Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs presents In Tribute to the Public Service Scholarship and Award Breakfast.
In Tribute to the Public Service Award and Scholarship Event was established in 1985 to honor individuals who demonstrate exemplary leadership in public life and contribute significantly to the betterment of the community. Over the past 32 years, the program has saluted 37 individuals who have made significant contributions to public service in Greater Cleveland. Proceeds from In Tribute support scholarships for students attending the Levin College who aspire to careers in public service.
This special event is your opportunity to support student scholarships at Cleveland State University.
Honoring
Mr. Clark is the regional president of PNC Bank, Cleveland. He joined PNC through its acquisition of National City Corporation in December 2008. At the time, he had been serving for four years as president of Northern Ohio banking and had been with National City since 1976. PNC's community engagement is focused on helping the city redefine itself for the 21st century. PNC's signature philanthropic program, Grow Up Great, targets support for early childhood education.
Recently, the PNC Foundation awarded Cleveland State University a $750,000 grant to create the PNC Scholars Fund and the PNC Mentoring Program. The fund will provide scholarships to upper-level undergraduate students who have maxed out of financial aid, and the program will provide peer mentors to assist incoming freshmen in acclimating to college life.
Please join us as we salute Paul Clark for his career achievements and community service, while supporting scholarships for students attending the Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs who aspire to careers in public service.
