Center for Educational Leadership

The Center for Educational Leadership (CEL) at Cleveland State University helps educators and community leaders grow their skills, expand their impact, and drive positive change. Through continuing education, leadership fellowships, and public events, CEL is building stronger schools and communities across Ohio.
Ohio Education Policy Leadership Program
The Ohio Education Policy Leadership Program (OEPLP) is one of CEL’s flagship programs, a 10-month fellowship for mid-career professionals who are ready to expand their leadership and policy influence. Education Fellows engage in professional development, complete real-world policy projects, and participate in immersive learning experiences, including visits to the Ohio State Capitol, Washington, D.C., and other key sites. These opportunities allow them to connect with policymakers, organizational leaders, and systems that directly impact schools and communities. Through this blend of learning, networking, and experiential engagement, Education Fellows gain the tools and relationships needed to influence meaningful change.

Roslyn Z. Wolf Lecture Series
The Roslyn Z. Wolf Lecture Series is a signature event hosted each fall and spring semester by CEL in partnership with the Greater Cleveland School Superintendents’ Association. The endowed lecture brings a national or international thought leader to Cleveland to engage civic leaders, school leaders, faculty, and community members in dialogue about the most pressing issues in urban education and leadership. The series honors Roslyn Z. Wolf, a Cleveland native and lifelong civic leader who served on the Cleveland State University Board of Trustees and was deeply involved in numerous academic, arts, and community organizations. In 2004, her husband, Ambassador Milton A. Wolf, established the Roslyn Z. Wolf Endowed Chair in Urban Educational Leadership in her memory, ensuring that her dedication to education and civic life continues to inspire future generations.
