Bachelors of Arts in Community Planning

In our Community Planning major, you’ll become a problem solver for communities. We teach you how to find and fix problems, like making cities better places to live and more eco-friendly. This program provides a strong foundation in urban geography, political systems, and social matters. You’ll study urban planning, statistics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), sustainability, and public management, preparing you for a wide range of career opportunities in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors.

Internship opportunities are available to all students; scholarships are available to qualified students; students with substantial prior learning experience may apply for credit through the Assessment and Accreditation of Prior Learning Experience program. Opportunities to participate in small seminar groups, research projects, and online courses are available. Students should consult their advisers for assistance in planning coursework.
