Mentoring Program History

History

In 2001, after spending 16 and a half years in the Ohio Senate and being term limited, Senator Grace Drake founded the Ohio Center for the Advancement of Women in Public Service at the Maxine Goodman Levin School of Urban Affairs in hopes of inspiring more women to choose public sector careers. The Center focuses on student engagement via networking sessions, speaker series, and mentoring.

The Mentoring Program has helped hundreds of students by matching them with career professionals in the public and nonprofit sectors.
