Center for Educational Leadership
The Center for Educational Leadership (CEL) at Cleveland State University helps educators and community leaders grow their skills, expand their impact, and drive positive change. Through continuing education, leadership fellowships, and public events, CEL is building stronger schools and communities across Ohio.

Center for Emergency Preparedness
The Center for Emergency Preparedness (CEP) has been the Leader in Ohio's Emergency Preparedness for over 35 years. CEP offers courses, programs, and workshops in: Hazardous Materials (Haz Mat), Confined Space, National Incident Management System (NIMS), Business Continuity and Emergency Planning, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Hospital Healthcare First Receiver, and various specialty courses. Ohio Certified Public Manager® Program
The Ohio Certified Public Manager® (OCPM) Program is a comprehensive and nationally certified development program for state and local government leaders. Cleveland State University's Center for Public & Nonprofit Management delivers the official CPM certification program for the state of Ohio. To receive this credential, participants must enroll in and successfully complete the Public Management Academy and Leadership Academy.

Workshops:

Introduction to ArcGIS Professional
This workshop introduces participants to ESRI ArcGIS mapping and analysis software - ArcGIS Pro. The workshop covers fundamental GIS concepts, geospatial data, and how to map and analyze data at the basic level. Participants will become familiar with the ArcGIS Pro, local GIS data, frequently used GIS tools, and map layouts. Participants are provided with access to the software, a lab workbook, and a USB data storage device. Participants must be comfortable using a desktop computer and the internet. 

Leadership Academy
Leadership Academy is the premier public sector leadership development program in the region. Established in 1990, the program has over 600 graduates representing major governmental and nonprofit organizations throughout northeast Ohio. The program is a great fit for appointed and elected officials, nonprofit administrators and aspiring leaders. The program is designed to encompass topics in leadership as well as personal and organizational development. Participants will meet in a variety of locations showcasing employers and institutions throughout the Cleveland area.

Lean Boot Camp
Lean Boot Camp is an intensive 4 day training workshop that gets people learning and using Lean methods and tools. The entire program is tailored to the public-sector workplace and public-sector processes, and provides practical training aimed at generating results. Participants will be able to use their new knowledge and skills immediately -- to make government simpler, faster, better, and less costly. The training is filled with government examples and exercises. Included is an in-depth simulation involving a prototypical agency, so participants build their toolkits by way of a real-world situation.

Management Academy
The Management Academy is a year-long professional development program that strengthens leadership and management skills in the public and nonprofit sectors. Participants choose from two tracks: Nonprofit Management Academy (NMA) or Public Management Academy (PMA), and engage in a mix of virtual workshops, collaborative learning, and a capstone project.

Ohio Education Policy Leadership Program
The Ohio Education Policy Leadership Program (OEPLP) is a professional education policy and leadership Fellows Program running from October through June, for experienced professionals who want to better understand how public policy shapes education and strengthen their ability to lead within that environment. Fellows learn with colleagues from across Ohio, examine the policy issues affecting their organizations and communities, and apply that learning to their own leadership practice.
