Making Waves From Cleveland to Uganda

Roundtable on Resilience in the Face of Climate Change

On June 23, 2014 the Maxine Goodman Levin School of Urban Affairs hosted a roundtable by Commissioner Paula Brooks from Franklin County, Ohio, a member of the White House Task Force on Climate Preparedness and Resilience. The task force, comprised of local elected officials from across the United States, is charge by President Obama to develop recommendations regarding the role of the federal government in supporting local efforts to adapt to climate-disruption. CWA is a network of leading corporations, academic institutions and public agencies from across Northeast Ohio. The mission is focused on fostering economic growth related to water through education and outreach, research and development, and sound public policy. Together, CWA creates conversations and connections that drive solutions to one of the most critical issues for quality of life on our planet - water quality and access. Cleveland State University is a founding partner of CWA. Dr. Wendy Kellogg (Maxine Goodman Levin School of Urban Affairs) is a member of the Program Committee, which oversees the substantive activities of the CWA.

A student chapter of the Ohio Water Works Association and the Northeast Ohio Water Environment Association.
