Position: Sustainable Development Intern
Company/Organization: The Cleveland Foundation
 
The primary purpose of the internship is to assist with planning, implementation and execution of SDG regional learning cohort convenings and indexing Cleveland Foundation grants by the aligned SDG and subsequent target. The benefits include providing a common framework for communicating priorities across stakeholder networks throughout the region (e.g., among area foundations, government, and corporate giving); inspiring more collaboration and alignment among efforts in the region; and sharing best and next practices with organizations regionally and around the world. Additionally, we anticipate a range of other organizations joining us in a learning cohort to do similar activities within their own organizations.

Position: Water Quality & Industrial Surveillance Paraprofessional Intern - Environmental Assessment

Position: Public Policy Fellowship Program
Company/Organization: Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute
 
As a CHCI Public Policy Fellow, you will immerse yourself in the legislative process, spending four days each week (Monday-Thursday) learning all facets of public policy. On Fridays, you will join other fellows for a full day of leadership development centered on CHCI’s four Pillars of Leadership—Civic Engagement, Social Responsibility, Self Empowerment, and Promoting Community and Hispanic Culture. Your weekly programming will also prepare you to fully understand policy issues facing the Latino community and how to propose effective solutions by critically examining all sides and implications of these issues.

Position: Crime Strategies Unit Intern

Interns will work to support the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Crime Strategies Unit. Projects may include supporting the prosecutor’s security map app program, the “Daily Incidents Analysis Report,” and acting as intelligence support for gang and serial offense cases.

Position: Major Trial Unit Intern

Interns will work to support the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Major Trial Unit (MTU). Projects may include assisting in the preparation for trial of homicide and sexual assault cases. In addition, interns will assist in the coordination of a multiple agency review of ongoing homicide and sexual assault investigations. There will also be an opportunity to work on reviewing applications for conviction integrity reviews.

The intern will learn day-to-day management of specific areas of city recreational facilities which may include: the Umerley Civic Center, the Hamilton Ice Arena, the Municipal Outdoor Pool and/or the ten city parks. The Recreation Operations Interns(s) are required to utilize general office equipment (copiers, computers, etc.) May be required to learn/operate facility specific equipment (fitness, natatorium, maintenance tools, etc.) The Intern will spend approximately 50% of his/her time in an office setting and the other 50% in the facility/field he/she is focusing on (fitness floor, outdoor field, natatorium, ice rink, etc.).
