David Lukas

A Cleveland native, David Lukas has always been inspired by Northeast Ohio and is proud to call it home, sharing, “The people here are resilient and committed to making our community better for the next generation.” After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the Ohio State University, Lukas decided to pursue a Master of Public Administration from the Maxine Goodman Levin School of Urban Affairs at Cleveland State University, graduating in 2011. Today, David serves as the Assistant Director for the Summit County Department of Community and Economic Development, which seeks to encourage regional job growth and business development. Read more. »

Benjamin Noren

Benjamin Noren began his career at Cleveland State University in the fall of 2019 as an honors student majoring in Urban Studies. A Bay Village native, he developed a love for the creeks, parks, and beaches offered by the Cleveland Metroparks. He is drawn to the environmental aspects of urban issues, particularly “the impact that man-made infrastructure, including roads, sewers, and lights, has on the natural resources and services provided by local tree canopies, watersheds, and ecosystems, which all play an essential role in the function of the so called 'Earth System.'” Benjamin graduated as Levin College Valedictorian with a double major in Urban Studies and Environmental Science, and minors in Economics and Sustainable Urban Development in Spring 2023. Read more. »

Alexia Miracle

Alexia Miracle is an undergraduate student in Cleveland State University’s Maxine Goodman Levin School of Urban Affairs. Motivated by a high school volunteer experience where she operated the school’s nonprofit clothing and hygiene pantry, Alexia chose to major in Nonprofit Administration and minor in both Urban and Regional Studies and Spanish. Her passion to serve and build genuine connections has also led her to a position with Lift Up Vikes!, Cleveland State’s resource center and food pantry that serves students with supplemental food items and other basic needs. Read more. »
