Kaylee Gutierrez is a Freshman Political Science Major who also tutors for the OCE at John Marshall High School with Teen Refugee Response. She became an OCE Campus Vote Project (CVP) Democracy Fellow with the goal of informing and advocating for student voters. She has been an election day poll worker in the past & encourages other students to sign up to be election day poll workers too. When asked how to get involved civically she stated, “I encourage others to vote, join protests, and sign petitions.” She also added that young people need to be engaged for democracy to be fully functioning. Kaylee is bilingual so look out for some social media posts in Spanish to motivate others who are bilingual to vote in the November 8^th Midterm Election.
