Superintendent Licensure Program

Now more than ever, schools need strong candidates to step into leadership positions as Superintendents. Cleveland State University’s nationally accredited Superintendent Licensure Program, offered through the Center for Educational Leadership, is a robust and fast-track program designed for the busy education professional. The program is just two semesters with all courses offered 100% online with synchronous meetings on select Saturdays.

The program is available to educators who have a valid professional teacher license with three years of experience working under a principal or administrative specialist license.

There is one entry point each year in the Fall Semester, and it is offered in a cohort model, so candidates learn along with their peers as they make their way through the program. Instructors are scholar-practitioners—these are school leaders and superintendents who are currently working in building and district-level leadership.
