Program Overview
The First Ring Leadership Academy (FRLA) is a joint project of the sixteen school districts that comprise the First Ring Superintendents' Collaborative (FRSC). The purpose of the FRLA is to provide beginning administrators (tier-two program) and aspiring administrators (tier-one program) with the opportunity to develop as First Ring school district administrators. This nine-session program has been developed to provide beginning administrators, those with five or less years of experience, with the opportunity to develop the concepts, skills and strategies necessary for working in a First Ring school district. This program is based on a cohort model. Participants are selected by their superintendents who recognize their leadership potential.
