Dr. Steven Sanders

Dr. Steven Sanders is a 2022 graduate of the Levin College of Public Affairs and Education's doctoral Urban Education program. In his new role as an Assistant Professor of Psychology in Oregon State's School of Psychological Science, Dr. Sanders manages the Adjustment, Identity, and Racism Lab, works in the University Counseling Center, and mentors and advises graduate students. Dr. Sanders said the experiences and academic accolades he achieved while at CSU prepared him for such a prestigious role: "The Urban Education Program helped develop the skills I needed to excel in this position. I was uniquely prepared by my time at CSU. My program allowed me to mentor other students, teach, and conduct high quality research. Without CSU, I doubt I would be the researcher and faculty member I am now.”  Read more. »
