Literacy Development and Instruction (M.Ed.)

Help every learner find their voice. Shape your future as an educator.

Imagine walking into your classroom with new tools to help a struggling reader thrive, or guiding a student who is just beginning to learn English as they grow in confidence. At Cleveland State University, the Master of Education in Literacy Development and Instruction is designed for teachers like you who want to deepen their impact and expand their career opportunities.

Whether you are ready to earn your full M.Ed. or want to build on your license with endorsements such as Reading or TESOL, you will have the flexibility to choose the path that fits your goals. You can start small and grow over time, or step directly into a master’s program that brings it all together.
