Scholarship Opportunities
- Ohio Space Grant Consortium (OSGC) Education Scholarship
The OSGC Education Scholarship supports students pursuing teacher certification and licensure in Science, Mathematics, or Early Childhood Education. This competitively awarded scholarship is open to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in eligible licensure programs at Cleveland State University.
Eligible licensure areas include:
*Early Childhood Education (Pre-K–Grade 3)
*Middle Childhood Education (Grades 4–9)
*Adolescent to Young Adult Education (Grades 7–12)
*Multi-Age Education (Pre-K–Grade 12)
The scholarship is funded by Congress through NASA’s National Space Grant College and Fellowship Program. The application deadline is March 1, 2026.
- Lewis and Janice Patterson Endowed Scholarship
The Lewis and Janice Patterson Endowed Scholarship is awarded based on the following criteria:- First year student
- Ohio resident
- Master's GPA in upper 50th percentile of incoming class
- Financial need
- Additional School of Education and Counseling scholarships.

- EmpowerVetEd (Funding for 5 Students)
Cleveland State University is proud to support our veterans with the EmpowerVetEd Grant, specially designed to help you bring your unmatched leadership, discipline and real-world experience to the classroom. Funding for 5 students is available to veterans pursuing Master of Urban Secondary Teaching (MUST), or CSUteach degrees. View this flyer to learn more.
- Ohio State Organization of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society and the Alpha Delta State Ohio Educational Foundation are pleased to as a Society of Women Educators and Foundation share the Esther H. Strickland Student Teaching Grant. This grant is for any student in the College of Education who will be doing student teaching during the 2026-2027 school year. The number of applicants will determine the amount of each grant.

- The Leon Bradley Scholarship Program was established to encourage individuals from under-represented groups to enter the field of teaching and school leadership. The American Association of School Personnel Administrators (AASPA) believes that it is beneficial for all students to experience diversity among the educators who serve as role models for our students. AASPA will annually award up to two scholarships to assist a candidate seeking their initial teaching certification endorsement. Each scholarship will be given in the amount of $3,500.00. Candidates will be eligible for the award if they are in entering their final year (Final Year starting Fall 2025) of completing certification/endorsement requirements, including student teaching if applicable. - Delta Kappa Gamma is an International Society for Key Women Educators and the Gamma Iota Chapter offers scholarship monies ($1500) to deserving local female college sophomore or junior students in teacher education programs. Applicants must be current female sophomore or junior who excel in a Teacher Education Program and reside in Mentor, Eastlake, Kirtland, Wickliffe, Willoughby, Willowick, Timberlake, or Willoughby Hills in Ohio. - College Club West is an organization of and for supporting women college graduates. College Club West is offering scholarships to women who are residents of the Greater Cleveland area. Applicants must already be pursuing a four-year undergraduate or graduate degree in any area of study. Scholarships will be awarded to women who are 25 years of age and older, and will be based on their financial needs, career goals and academic records. The deadline for completed applications is March 16, 2026. - Elizabeth Keller Scholarship Fund coordinated by Lorain County Retired Teachers Association (LORCORTA) is seeking applicants for an education scholarship for LORAIN COUNTY RESIDENTS or a graduate of a high school in Lorain County. This is 3 scholarships of $1500 each for education majors pursuing any level of teacher licensure. Download an application at www.lorcorta.org and click on the Mary Elizabeth Keller Scholarship. Applications must be received by April 1, 2026.
- Adult Learner Program Scholarship - College Now provides scholarship opportunities to adult students age 19 and above who have interrupted their education for at least one year and who are pursuing a non-degree certificate or license in a vocational or technical program, an associate's degree, or first bachelor's degree. The scholarship award is $1,000-$2,000 per academic year and the application deadline is March 31, 2026. The application and additional details can be found here.
