Position: Planner I - Regional Services (Planning & Development)

Position: Planner III, Rideshare and Air Quality Planner

The Planner III involves the application of advance planning skills to assigned tasks, larger projects or sub-projects. Technical duties include research, planning, evaluation and report-writing. Position: Community Development Manager
Company/Organization: City of Maple Heights
The Community Development Manager is responsible for implementation and coordination of City community and economic development initiatives. Specifically, this includes assisting the City in creation and launch of a municipally governed 501c3 Community Improvement Corporation, designed to better enable the sale of real estate not held for municipal use – with potential to expand into additional projects tailored to meet the City’s evolving needs. Further goals include establishing a flow of vacant residential and commercial buildings on a path toward rehabilitation, collaborating with area Chambers of Commerce, hosting educational workshops, cross-generational wealth building initiatives, small business support, public engagement, lead paint mitigation, sustainability and environmental health initiatives, and/or other activities designed to strengthen household and economic vitality across the City.

Position: Research Analyst
This new position is responsible for providing technical assistance and analyzing data for employment related economic research projects. Responsibilities include assisting the President in organizing research and developing presentations for talks being done by the President. The role also assists in the preparation of short analytical research pieces for publication on the Institute website, preparation of talking points for public meetings and press interviews, preparation of social media posts, and additional duties that arise from the President’s efforts. Work includes slide and presentation development, monitoring and reviewing economic trends, analyzing and interpreting economic data, reading economic and business literature in support of research for short analytical pieces, as well as additional responsibilities that arise from the President’s work.

Position: Sustainability Coordinator

Position: Deputy Clerk of Council

Lakewood City Council is seeking a detail-oriented individual for the position of part-time Deputy Clerk of Council. The Deputy Clerk reports directly to the Clerk of Council to manage the efficient functioning of the Council Office and weekly Council meetings. Position: GIS Application Analyst I or II

Position I: GIS App Analyst I
Responsible for maintaining assigned aspects of the District's Geographic Information System (GIS) applications to ensure accessibility.  Coordinates with others to create relevant workflows and related documentation and provides end user training for District GIS applications as directed. Performs other duties of a similar nature as may be required.
Position II: GIS App Analyst II

Responsible for acting as team lead to deliver assigned aspects of the District's Geographic Information System (GIS) applications, including intranet, mobile and internet-based applications. Policy Associate/ Fellow: Center for medicaid Policy
Serves as a key member of the public policy team, directing the Center for Medicaid Policy.

Essential job responsibilities and results include:

  • Policy analysis; tracking changes to Ohio’s Medicaid program; identifying opportunities for program improvements
  • Work with Northeast Ohio organizations to increase the capacity of the health delivery system to effectively engage in Medicaid Policy
  • Identify and collaborate with key players and interested parties; participate in coalitions
Policy Assistant/ Associate: Greater Cleveland American Rescue Plan Coalition
Provides project support to GCARP including managing logistics; policy analysis; participating in the coalition; presenting to audiences large and small; maintaining relationships within Greater Cleveland’s health and social services community.

The Community Forestry & Conservation department is seeking a Conservation Seasonal employee. The Conservation seasonal employee will assist in efforts to manage natural areas including pest assessments, invasive species control, and general forest management. Position: PLANNER I / II / III - Planning Department

Position: Equity in Economic Development Fellowship Program - Summer 2023
Company/Organization: International Economic Development Council
As part of its ongoing commitment to advancing equity and closing disparities in the industry, IEDC launched the Equity in Economic Development Fellowship Program in 2022. The fellowship provided 6 diverse young people interested in economic development the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field, and to spend the summer working with a local EDO to advance substantive and impactful projects in their communities.  IEDC hopes to provide 6 to 12 more diverse young people interested in the field of economic development with this opportunity for its second cohort in the summer of 2023.
