Application Process
You will need to apply online for each field experience you complete. Please visit our online application to complete this process. The online application is available during the following times:
| SEMESTER & FIELD EXPERIENCE | APPLICATION DATES |
|---|---|
| FALL: Practicum, Internship, Apprentice Teaching, or Student Teaching experience | December 1st through February 15th |
| SPRING: Practicum, Internship, Apprentice Teaching, or Student Teaching experience | August 1st through September 15th |
| For an approved summer* experience | December 1st through February 15th |
*Please note that a summer experience is not guaranteed and requires appropriate approvals
Boundary Policy Statement
We, as professionals, will be mindful of maintaining boundaries with all those we work with and teach, keeping the following guiding principles in mind:
- Inform Supervisors ASAP, keep them in the loop, they will help guide you
- Involve Mentor Teachers as much as possible
- Communicate, communicate, communicate…effectively and honestly
- Act professionally at all times….know your boundaries
